Burglary at my residence . I filed the claim with this company August 23. I filled out an inventory sheet with everything that was stolen. I filed the police report immediately. I gave receipts for everything that I had a receipt for I provided video of my other items that I did not have a receipt for my home in my home.. I provided appraisals of my jewelry, the contact information of my jeweler, I satisfied every request that was asked of me within the first week. I live in Hollywood. I was on a photography assignment in New York and my place was burglarized close I gave every bit of information. I’m a black photographer who has worked with Taylor Swift Brad Pitt Kevin Costner. I’ve shot on the set of breaking bad. This southern woman was yelling at me on the phone who is the supervisor demeaning me making me feel like I can’t afford the equipment that I have from the beginning. These people have been treating me very marginally. My business has been in business longer than they have existed. I never call fire in the movie theater for things if you know me that’s not my style, but this feels very negative and investigator came to my home. A nice man asked me questions has been in great communication and has not been misleading, I answered his questions and the entire month has gone by and now I’m being told he hast to come back again to ask me the same questions, and now she’s asking about My jewelry again when I provided the appraisals of my jewelry in the very beginning certified appraisals. This supervisor Her name is Tracy McCormick On the phone stating that she could prolong my claim by requesting further time for an examination under oath, do you understand how aggressive this is? I’ve done nothing to warrant such an examination. I’ve never felt so marginalized in my entire life. It’s been 37 days calendar days and over 60 days so two months since I filed this claim and this supervisor is now asking for information that she could’ve asked for 25 days ago? If that’s not punitive and bad faith, somebody explained it to me. She sent me a letter stating that all that was needed is my lease to complete the claim her language not mine ( The letter did not state the claim will be closed, but it did say complete investigation) so then when I followed up and said hey, what else is needed? I get this response. So I filed a Complaint with the Better Business Bureau with the California insurance board because of how this Company was treating me and how this claim has been handled so now they’re being punitive. I was supposed to fly out to do a job on Monday now I’m gonna stay here to have another examination back to back when I’ve been asking them for days and months. What more information can I provide?
