Below are some of the highly recommended NE commercial auto insurance add-ons:
Consumables coverage takes care of the costs of replacing or repairing your commercial vehicle bolts, bearings, nuts, screen washers, AC gas, brake, and engine oil. This add-on only covers vehicles that are less than 3 years old.
Under this add-on, your specified auto deductible is lowered or decreased by a certain amount each year, provided you maintain a clean driving record. That is, you don’t cause any accidents or violate traffic laws.
This add-on provides financial assistance if your vehicle's engine or parts are damaged by water ingress or accidental leakage of lubricant oil. This add-on is most beneficial to business owners who operate in areas prone to flooding.
This add-on ensures that your commercial auto insurance premium rate remains constant after your first accident.
This add-on compensates you for the costs incurred in replacing your lost or stolen keys or repairing your damaged lock following an attempted burglary or break-in.
Your personal property or items are not covered under your standard commercial auto insurance policy. Thus, it's important that you purchase this add-on if you frequently travel with your hard-to-repair or replace personal belongings. Through this add-on, your insurer will compensate you for the loss or damage of your personal property that was present in your commercial vehicle.
If you use your commercial vehicle for towing, then purchase this add-on. This will exempt you from incurring the costs of repairing or replacing your client's vehicle if it gets damaged during towing.
If your commercial vehicle is stolen or destroyed beyond repair, your insurer will pay you an amount equal to your vehicle’s invoice or original value. That is, they will pay you the actual amount of money you bought your vehicle at. Your insurer will also compensate you for the paid road tax amount and your vehicle's registration cost.
You are exempted from incurring emergency services costs in the event your vehicle breakdown while you are on the road. Some of the 24/7 emergency services costs covered under this policy include fuel delivery, towing labor, flat tire change, organizing an alternative transportation means, and battery jump-start.
Under this add-on, you are covered against the cost of replacing your depreciated commercial vehicle parts with the depreciation value excluded.
Here are incidents where you can use commercial auto insurance:
When your commercial vehicle is damaged following a collision with another vehicle or object
When your commercial vehicle is damaged by some weather-related events such as floods and lightning
When your business vehicle is damaged by some natural calamities such as landslides and tornadoes
When you are the at-fault driver who causes third-party bodily injuries or death
When you cause third-party property damages with your commercial vehicle
When you or the passengers traveling in your business vehicle sustain auto-related injuries and you want your insurer to cater for your medical expenses
Commercial auto insurance in Nebraska is $40 per month or $480 per year for a $1 million auto liability coverage. Factors that affect premiums are claims history, business history, policy limits, deductibles, and more. Here’s a table showing the rates of a $1 million auto liability coverage from the best companies:
Cost per Month | Cost per Year | Best for | |
---|---|---|---|
NEXT | $19 | $228 | Best overall; Fastest commercial auto insurance |
CoverWallet | $22 | $264 | Comparing commercial auto insurance quotes online |
The Hartford | $25 | $300 | Established Nebraska business owners who own fleets of commercial vehicles |
Tivly | $27 | $324 | Comparing commercial auto insurance quotes over the phone |

Below are some of the factors that influence how much you will pay for your Nebraska commercial auto insurance:
The amount of deductibles in your policy directly influences your premium rates. The higher your deductibles are, the lower your premium rates will be.
The mileage your commercial vehicle covers in a day determines the cost of your Nebraska commercial auto insurance policy. The more distance you cover with your commercial vehicle, the higher your premium rates will be.
The type of activities or operations you use your vehicle for greatly influences your premium rate. Suppose you use your business vehicle to conduct risky activities such as mining. In that case, you should expect to pay more than another person who uses their commercial vehicle for food or flower delivery.
If you or your employees have a ‘bad’ driving history, you will most likely pay a higher premium rate than a driver with a clean/good driving history. Your driving history is assessed by checking the number of accidents you have caused and the number of times you have violated Nebraska’s traffic laws within the last three to five years.

This place is an absolute joke of a company and should be ashamed of the way they conduct business. I was hurt on the job at the end of July and it took them just shy of 7 weeks to issue out a paycheck to me. Yes the amount was back dated but still. Not many have the luxury of not receiving a paycheck for almost 2 months. To top it all off, the original adjuster marked me down for the wrong state which caused a problem from the get go, I've had 3 different adjusters now since each one can't seem to figure out the simplicity of my claim. All my paperwork which includes, my job, house, and drs visits all are from the same state and city but yet some how I have been filed under a completely different state 1500 miles away. They do not answer your phone calls or emails no matter how many you leave. I've had to escalate my frustrations to the supervisors of each of these individuals in order to even get some kind of response. I've had more communication and information given to me about my claim from the customer service representatives then the actual adjusters.......... please tell me how that works?! A serious overhaul needs to happen here in order to serve your clients the way they deserve to be taken care of. 10/10 do not recommend this company to a single soul on earth
I have never had the displeasure of working with a more incompetent and disrespectful person in my life. I’m an injured worker and the adjuster that was assigned to my case was named Carrie Furgeson. In the past 6 weeks that I’ve been injured and out of work I have only been able to get ahold of her twice, not for lack of trying. I have left countless voicemails, countless emails, and she ignores them all. When I am finally able to get ahold of her I’m greeted with terrible customer service. She is rude, she talks over me and I’m hardly able to get a word in edgewise. She spelled my name wrong on my documents even after I spelled it for her properly countless times, this caused a whole new issue with my bank. I have bill collectors from the hospital calling me demanding payment and Carrie Furgeson won’t do a single thing to help, or to get them paid. All of my documentation is in Colorado, my job is in Colorado, my address is in Colorado, all my Dr offices and appointments have been in Colorado and Carrie still managed to hold my claim because she wasn’t sure what state she needed to file it under. It’s been 6 weeks since my Injury and my company still hasn’t received the wage paperwork to fill out so they can get me my correct wages. When she’s not ignoring me she’s answering my questions with “I don’t know” well I don’t know how she got this job, because apparently she doesn’t know anything about it. She is a disgusting morose individual inside and out and I genuinely wish her the worst in all of her future endeavors. I highly recommend you don’t use this company. Please if you are a business owner and your looking into this company please don’t use them. I’m sure they have the cheapest payment and that’s why companies use them in the first place, but you will be doing your employees a grave disservice by forcing them to venture into this absolute dumpster fire of a company. I would rate 0/5 if possible but 1 was the lowest I was allowed.
