I tried to reach them for over a month before adjusting the auto deduction date. They said no problems. The following week arrived and I find out that the payment was automatically taken from my bank account on the previous date! I contacted them again, they tried to explain, but but didn't return my money! I had to ask my relatives for a loan to cover other expenses! They billed me like I cancelled the policy! Extremely disappointing!

I have been a customer of AmFam for both car and homeowners insurance for over 32 years. Never missed a payment. A few months ago I activated my car insurance for some insignificant claims. Was involved in a car accident, AmFam didn't cover the medical expenses that were caused by it. Road assistance helped me get my car back to full activity. Later I went through a bigger accident with a deer on the way to pick up my wife. Their rep refused to renew my car insurance. Which is a fake way to say they cancelled it. They of course didn't pay any of my claims, the service is horrible. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. AmFam sucks!
