I do NOT recommend this company to anyone!!! After having a personal policy with GEICO for more than 9 years, I switched my car to commercial policy to drive with Uber on the weekends. 2 days after I switched, I hit some debris on the highway, causing damage to the car - $1700 in value. GEICO did not approve because I had not yet sent in photos of the car (same car they had me on personal policy!) And this was after raising the insurance $1400 a year, just so I could drive Uber one day a week!!! STAY AWAY FROM GEICO!!!!!!

My wife and 2 daughters got rear ended by a GEICO customer. The accident ended up involving 3 different vehicles and the GEICO driver was found 100% at fault. Thankfully, my kids were unharmed but my wife suffered neck and back injuries which resulted in 19 doctor visits over a period of 3 months. Today, 6 months later, she still suffers pain. Since the accident, my wife - a stay at home mom - had many many occasions where she was in such pain, she wasn’t even able to pick up our baby to comfort or even breastfeed her! My wife refused to take pain killers out of fear that this would effect her breast milk and the baby. This whole experience is just horrible. GEICO adjusters did not do any better, de-valuing our claim and laughing (no, seriously - laughing!) at our requests for compensations… We are still trying to settle on a personal injury. North Carolina is an "at-fault" state which means the at-fault party is obligated by law to pay "pain & suffering”. GEICO adjusters act as if they are doing us a huge favour by even paying our claim. This accident was not even my wife’s fault as she was sitting still at red traffic light when the GEICO customer hit her car! They have offered us a minor fraction of what other insurance companies said they “should” pay us. Every source I have used told me they are taking advantage of us, the amount that they are offering is so little, it wouldn’t even cover travel expenses to the doctor’s office! Meanwhile we are paying out of pocket for the bills, medical expenses, time lost and car fuel, not to mention our personal frustration dealing with this company. GEICO maybe saves you a few dollars on premiums but it will come back to bite your neck much worse, if you ever need to file a claim. GEICO IS THE WORST!!!

Had a bad bad experience with GEICO when I tried to help a friend with a claim. The other side of the claim was being represented by a lawyer. GEICO adjuster knew they had council and claim rep trying to get a medical statement from my friend. I talked to the adjuster on the phone reminding her that this was illegal, she was quick to hang up the phone. Criminals! On another case, my uncle got hit by a GEICO customer who was going 50+ mph and was cited for distracted driving. Dude was texting while driving… GEICO would not take responsibility for my uncle’s claim and deliberately delayed the payments by 60 days (!!!) just so they could investigate!!! This company would do anything to delay and deny payments. AVOID GEICO AT ALL COST!!! This company is worthless!

GEICO customer service is the worst in the world!! My car windshield got hit in a baseball game, wasn’t my fault at all as it was parked near a baseball field. GEICO sent a safe life glass to install on my windshield but the installers did a terrible job! The back window is all twisted and you can definitely see the exposed glue. I called GEICO again and demanded a redo on the windshield because I have a warranty (my car is less than one year old). They said I would have to go with safelife. I asked to have the original manufacturer glass back they said no to that too because they only cover after market products and having the manufacturer windshield back I would have to pay $400 out of pocket. WTF!!! What the hell am I paying full coverage then!? GEICO is a joke. I asked them why can’t my policy cover a manufacture glass they said because they don’t see anything wrong with having an aftermarket glass install on my car. The after market glass installation on my car is just unprofessional and terrible. The siding of the glass is spaced out and when it rains - water can penetrate in and cause more damage! I did not pay insurance to have an after market product install on my car! When it comes to replacing manufacture products on your car - GEICO is the worst! I am shopping for another company that would actually be helpful in situations like this and do a better job to please their customers!

A long GEICO customer for many many years. Until one day they did me dirty! Someone rear ended my car while my son was driving it. They are now telling me they can’t do anything to help because my 19 year old son is excluded from the policy. My car is wracked and unusable, the other insurance company are stalling because I am not their customer..Now I am struggling in my everyday life because I have no car to take my kids to school or get to work. I am very disappointed with their customer service! BEWARE!!!

NEVER GO WITH GEICO!!! They have the worst service ever! I had a 6 months old, 7000 miles new car and one night I hit a deer on the road. GEICO refused to pay for OEM replacement parts and offered a reconditioned, pre-used parts instead! The difference in value was $186.. After making a few phone calls they said it states in my policy that they have the right to do so. I was never told this fact at any point of purchasing the policy with GEICO. I called 2 other companies who told me that for the same car year with less than 12000 miles they would put OEM parts with no extra charges. I am going to cancel ALL my policies with GEICO - car, boat, umbrella and business policies!) This is by far the worst insurance I ever had to deal with. Read every single letter in the policy they send you, if you are brave enough to sign with them. You will save a few bucks on premium but will lose 10 times more if you need to file a claim! DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND KEEP AWAY FROM GEICO!!

I have been a GEICO customer for the past 8 years. I filed my first claim after my car got vandalized and scratched. Uninvited and unannounced, an SUI rep shows up at my doorstep to leave a door tag. He had plain clothes and car so I thought this might be a solicitor… He went as far as entering my privately owned yard and snoop through my car windows. It’s cray to see what people think they can do, when they are sure that no one is looking.. Unfortunately for them I have it all recorded on RING. . . I literally freaked out seeing a stranger walking around my car, especially after the recent events. I got out of my side door asking him to get off my property, ready to release my trusted cane corso to teach him a valuable lesson. I asked to see an ID And gave him the chance to explain, he said he was sent by GEICO. I was red-flagged after being sent a few cancellation notices (even tho I have always paid on time and my policy never lapsed. Obviously he had no excuse or reasons for trespassing and the lack of professionalism. The following day I filed a claim with GEICO and cancelled my policy with them.

Do NOT get GEICO! I was buying car and home insurance with Arrowhead. They were supposed to call my the same eve with a quote but never did. The following day I went into my bank account and discovered that they charged me $599 and additional $30 overdraft charge. Arrowhead sent me a check 3-5 days after but GEICO said they would put the $30 back into my account - they never did! I can’t get a hold of anyone to talk to and never got that money back so far! KEEP AWAY FROM GEICO AND ARROWHEAD!!

I have been a GEICO customer for a long time now, until they decided to screw over my son who was deployed overseas, for his auto insurance. Before leaving, he informed GEICO, as well as his bank that he will not be using his car for an undisclosed period of time. His bank canceled his credit cards even tho he told them he’s leaving the country. Then his automatic payments did not go through. GEICO reported my son to the DMV in Florida which got his license suspended… When a cop pulled my son over for not wearing a seatbelt, only then did he realise that his driver’s license and insurance were suspended. The cop took an active duty military to jail… Now he has to pay court fines and fees and now has it on his personal record which would make it difficult to find a job!! GEICO jacked up my sons rates 4 times what he should be paying because he has difficulties proving the case was dismissed.. NEVER GO WITH GEICO!!! Those criminals don’t even care for military, why would they care for you??

GEICO don’t care for you! My car got hit by an older gentleman from out of state and broke off the mirror while I Was completely standing still! GEICO demand that I pay my deductible BEFORE having my car fixed!!! Why are they making me pay my deductibles if this accident was not even my fault?! Disappointed!!!

I am an active duty military and I have been with GEICO for over 8 years. A few months ago they decided to raise my premium by ore than $60 for the same exact cars I have had since forever, without no warning! When I called to ask why, they said that repairing any of my cars would cost more than their actual value and deductible. That is despite the fact that I have been paying them $220 a month for 8 long years and no claims!! Over $20,000! This may actually off my car completely… This terrible company spends more money on ads then on paying their customers claims! I do NOT recommend GEICO!

GEICO only care about the money they take from you!!! I was insured with another company and wanted to switch to them. The policy they offered was a little lower but when told them that my wife had a car accident over 6 months ago, they jacked the price from $73 to $168 because she was considered a high risk driver. She was not even at fault for that accident!!!!!!!! Terrible!! They do not care to help you as a customer and only want to take your money!! DO NOT GO WITH GEICO!

I have a dispute with GEICO over an unresolved claim, as they are unable and incapable of resolving my case. If you contact their HQ to inquire and try to get some answers - this should turn a red light on for managers and executives, but it does not. My car got rear-ended and totalled. GEICO adjuster gave me two options - retain the vehicle, or retune it below market value. Both are a major disadvantage! MY car is used for business travel and other necessities and I am currently taking action to resolve my policyholder issues with GEICO.

I am very disappointed with GEICO unprofessional customer service! My car got hit on the back and GEICO offers absolutely no help with the damage. Their rep was very unhelpful and was not willing to share any kind of information with me, never called me back even once to help me understand how the process works. A representation well below average. GEICO adjuster did a horrible job, did not describe a thing in the report but had good excuses as for why the prices were so expensive! GEICO will not pay you a dime for repairing the damage and will low-ball your car value, to make more profit on your lose-lose case. They are the most horrible insurance company. I cancelled with them and recommend that NO ONE EVER GO WITH GEICO!!!!!

GEICO is the worst company in the world! Slumlords! My payment was 5 days late and they decided to punish me and jack up my premium by more than $60!!!!!!!!!! OUTRAGEOUS!!!!! I am so disgusted by their greedy and unjustified treat!

GEICO do not care at all about their long term customers! They discriminate their clients. I have been a single woman for 7 years now and had my car and my home insured with GEICO. All those years I was never late on a payment and never filed a claim. We had a few funerals and a wedding in the family, I sold my house so dropped the policy and inherited a car so I got a second policy for that car until sold one of them. One day I received a letter from GEICO that starting Dec 31 they would no longer insure me as I am not eligible to be insured with them anymore. 7 years of being the perfect customer. II get married and suddenly I am not eligible because of my husband’s driving record. He had Allstate First Accident Forgiveness and is paying less than I do… I ended up going with Grange Insurance who gave me lower rates. GOODBYE GEICO FOREVER!!!!

I have been a GEICO customer for many years and I can honestly say - they don’t care for their long time customers AT ALL! I had to pay a large sum for my renewal. In Nov. I was told that I would not have to pay until Dec. I said ok but decided to still pay towards my renewal. GEICO rep was very happy to take my money. After paying the rest of the money I was sent another bill for over $600 because I was late on my payments… So I paid in November and their rep had the wrong information. Now they are making me pay for their own mistakes and I need to figure out where to get that money from, to pay that bill. Every time I call they keep saying “I understand”, I’ll try to help, but really they don’t care for their customers one bit. All they care for is your money!

I do NOT recommend using GEICO! We have 3 auto, RV, umbrella and homeowners with the. A few months ago I had one cars stolen off my driveway, it took me about 3 weeks just to get to talk to an agent… We always pay on time, no problems, no claims ever… About a month later I received a phone call saying they will send me the paperwork so I can get paid for the stolen car and buy a new one. Nothing ever came and seems like nothing ever will. It has been over a month and I still have no car. My experience with GEICO is very disappointing and terrible. This is not a way to treat your loyal customers that spend a lot of money with you every month.. Do NOT GO WITH GEICO!

I had insurance with GEICO for over 10 years and not even one claim. When I needed their help they were not there to assist me. GEICO customers must learn that when you get into a car accident with another GEICO customer, this will not play well for either one of the sides involved. In other words, whatever GEICO decides on the case - is final. We had to learn the hard way that there was no way of beating the system on that one. 2 days after the car accident, while I was still giving details and evidence to them - GEICO have already made their decision about my case - no fault on both sides. They acted like they were doing me a favour about it but I still had to pay my deductible… Disappointing!

I am very UNHAPPY with GEICO and the way they treat people and specifically how they handle my claim. I had a car accident four months ago which GEICO took blame for, but would not pay my settlement.. Why are you stalling, GEICO????

I called GEICO last night to tow my car. They said they will use a company called 1st response Towing and Recovery and that it would take them about 90 minutes to get to me. After 2 long hours I called the towing company directly and was told they have never received any phone call from GEICO regarding my situation and advised me to call GEICO back. I did and they told me that the towing company company cancelled the service yet nobody bothered to let me know!!! At this point, 3 hours in a 10 degrees cold night, I was still waiting by the side of the road. GEICO tried to send a different towing company over, but couldn’t find any in my area. After about 4 hours in the cold night weather I did what should have done to begin with and called a tow company myself and had it towed to my home for $75 which I am going to make GEICO pay! In addition to that, I removed Roadside Service off my policy, as this was clearly a waste of my time and money! Never trust GEICO to help you when you need them! I wonder how many others have experienced the same terrible service.. Very upset!!!

GEICO used to be the best insurance company, until today… I have been their client for over 9 years and not too long ago got into a hit and run accident. Some person hit my car and fled scene to never be seen again! I filed a hit-and-run claim but then they changed it to collision so I would have to pay my deductible. They said it’s because the inspection stated that at the time of impact the car was in motion and both driver and passenger seatbelts were used, which matched the report… I am very upset right now and can’t believe they done this. They make me feel like I am a fraud or a liar. I paid the deductible out of pocket and now they are forcing me to take responsibility for an accident I did not cause! It has been well over a month now and I’m still waiting for them to approve my claim so I can fix the damage in a car shop. This is my first time dealing with this kind of situation and I have no idea how other insurance companies would handle it. I can’t really say that GEICO is the worst ever, but my personal experience with them is simply terrible.

About a month ago I got into a car accident, I called GEICO, who assigned me with an adjuster. My car hadn’t been moved from the accident scene for at least two days and they didn’t move it until I called them again to point that out. The first quote was sent to my phone after the first inspection. The adjuster did not bother to answer my phone calls for five days straight! The car shop had to call the adjuster back because they discovered additional damage to my car. Another week would pass but the adjuster never returned to view the car. I kept calling to GEICO adjuster’s number over and over but no one would ever pick up. Eventually I turned to a lawyer for help. Two hours later he called me back and said that he talked to the adjuster and things are moving forward. I have been a GEICO customer for a very long time and I am very disappointed to be forced to get a lawyer to help with the process. It has been over 3 weeks now and I still have no car!

I have been involved in a car accident which was not my fault… Had a green light, was driving the right speed when another car had made a right turn and t-boned my car. Luckily I had a dash-cam recording the whole thing - I recommend you get yourself one! I did not agree to leave the scene without a police report. This makes so people can’t change their stories later on. It also helps a lot to get yourself a lawyer to deal with the insurance companies. It works easier and faster that way. My damaged car got fixed really fast and GEICO covered every dollar the dealer asked for. And even sent me a check to cover my deductible since obviously I was not at fault for the accident. My experience with GEICO was really great! At first I picked them because of their cheaper price. I didn’t have to pay anything out of pocket and GEICO have served all my needs to the fullest. Once again - buying a dash cam, not leaving until you receive a police report and go get a lawyer!
