I signed with Lemonade a few months ago and recently had to file my first claim ever with them. My claim was completed and a few things in the process were excellent. Because I was in a non-English speaking country, where communication would have been difficult, they didn’t make me file a police report, which was great. However, they did have some very critical technical failures in processing my claim. For whatever reason they could not receive my emails, and so I had to send them the paperwork more than a few times. Talking to agent that was dealing with my claim, he claimed it was an ongoing issue. There was no available solution to the situation and I had to wait long days for this problem to get solved. Overall they were great and I don’t plan on replacing them with another insurance company, but some of their technical issues in the process could have been handled better, yet I am sure they are improving on this aspect too.

I was thinking of something not positive to write about Lemonade insurance company, but just couldn't find one. Pleased with their service in every possible aspect. Had a damaged roof, they paid it fast and supported and instructed me all along. If I could only have them in the past 25 years as a homeowner that I spent on a different company that wasn't as great. If you're reading this, change your homeowners insurance company to Lemonade now! Great choice!

I got pet insurance through lemonade. For the insurance they have you go to the vet to get a health check up. During the health check up my cat was healthy, but had a lump. The vet did a cytology and determined that it was a cyst. There was some hardened material, but the results showed no cancerous material and I was referred out to a surgical center to have the cyst removed. 2 months later, when she went in to have the cyst checked the vet was worried it might be more. They checked her lungs and again, everything was healthy. But her leg were the cyst was had to go and the vet was worried it may be something more. They had to take her leg and when they did, they did a biopsy and determined this was actually a fibrosarcoma. This was 2 months after I started the policy. But they are trying to say it was preexisting and won't pay out the claim. They're just trying to take money from people and don't want to hold up their end of the contract.

I had a an issue with how long it took them to respond on the phone, but it could have just been the holidays and the California wildfires. All together I had an excellent experience with Lemonade. They are way more useful with emails and their bot than on the phone, so keep that in mind.

I have received homeowners insurance from Lemonade Insurance in Michigan last year, and once again this year. Both times I noticed that their coverages and limits were much lower than my needs and the premium was about two times more expensive than what I am paying right now with my “old fashioned” insurance agent.

Awesome and simple process. Lemonade provided a great customer service. Very easy if you don’t want to wait for an agent to answer your questions.

I am very upset with Lemonade customer service. I filed a claim on June 20th 2019. It’s been about 20 days since and I still like running run circles talking to Lemonade chatbot and customer service personnel. I sent them all the information they requested from me and later on the process, they asked me again for exactly the same documents, many times!!! I tried calling my agent on the phone for at least 3 days and never got any response or a call back. I signed up with Lemonade thinking they were different and better just like they claim to be. But when I did more research I found so many other people experiencing the same difficulties. Judging by the quantity of good review, I only hope that my experience is a minority. As for now I will not recommend Lemonade. To anyone who is reading these lines - BEWARE!

Do not use Lemonade unless you like sitting on the phone and waiting for anyone to help you. If you need to file a claim - do not expect them to assist you and get anything moving. They will ignore you and tell you they are “figuring things out”, after keeping you waiting for a very long time. I really hope I will never have to file another claim with the. You are already going through some rough times and they make it so much worse! There’s no easy way to contact any person. They tell you to send an email to their customer service but you never hear back from them! Their adjusters just keep asking for the same info you already provided them with, and won’t try to listen to the amount of damage you suffer, and that’s if you even get a hold of them to begin with. Simply terrible, in every aspect. I can’t wait to cancel my policy with them once I get my claim finalized.

Lemonade gave me a good service even tho it took a little longer than expected. Even tho I had to wait about two weeks for the claim approval (I had to file the claim on Thanks Giving). But at least I didn’t have to wait for the check, which was appreciated! I have been with Lemonade for a little over a month and to my surprise, they acted quite fast. My claim was not approved automatically, but had to get checked by an agent - which I totally understand from a business point of view. I am very pleased they pulled through. MY advise to you would be patience and honesty. Don’t submit false claims or over claim either, because they do verify that information, and always read your policy!! If there’s any grey areas or things you don’t understand - ask!!! If you send them an email, they DO respond, and their reps are trained to treat your situation professionally! I talked to a few different agents, one of which was an adjuster and the other two gave me a full service of answering all my questions and making sure documents are being delivered and processed. They all responded within one business day. I mistakenly bashed them online before even trying to get help. I ended up editing those previous reviews… Working in retail environment, where reviews make a difference, I have learned that people mostly tend to write reviews when they feel they are being treated wrongfully. Lemonade is 100% legit in my book. To those of you who are reading these reviews - don’t let them scare you. Reach out to Lemonade before you choose to publicly bashing them, like I have. I feel like a jerk for not trying to reach out before jumping to conclusions. Great company!

It’s crazy how people just post reviews without even filing a claim with Lemonade. It took them about two months to spot an error and when they found it, they just say “nope, case closed!”. If you just need an insurance policy to have insurance - download their app. But if you are actually looking to protect your loved ones or your valuable possessions - LEMONADE IS A TERRIBLE CHOICE!

Lemonade have helped me a lot with renters insurance on my Texas home. The lowest price I could find before was from Geico. Lemonade’s rates were greatly lower. Signing up with the app was fairly easy to do. They even got back to me later on to point out they were over charging me, and the premium got even lower. No other insurance company would do that. If you got denied, you are probably considered a high risk. All insurance companies use actuarial data to review assess their risks. If you are a high risk, there are many other insurance companies that are willing to screw you over high premiums, just to cover you in case you file more claims again.

Lemonade told me I cannot use their services for insurance, as I do not own a smartphone! You must have either Android or IOS device with their app and this service is unavailable for people who use a regular phone and own a desktop computer. Would have been great if they were sincere about this before letting me sign up and pay!

Terrible experience!!! It is very difficult to try and communicate with Lemonade. They simply ignore you fro weeks, until they are ready to reply. BE CAREFUL!!

Do not expect to get any claim resolved with this company! Even tho Lemonade costs are very cheap comparing to others, I wouldn’t call it “insurance policy” at all. At best, it’s just a way of satisfying your landlord. I had to file a claim and their agents kept giving me lame excuses and other stories, to deny my claim. Lemonade will waste 4 hours of your time to file an initial claim and then 4 hours more to get reports from their 3rd party contractors. Then finally they would use fine prints and “weather condition on the day of inspection” excuses, to deny your claim. At first I thought they were kidding. Then I realized they were actually joking, claiming to be an insurance company.

After viewing their policy, I turned a believer! I really love how clear they are about their policy so you can easily understand what it includes. Their rates are great and low. If their claim service is as good as they say, I will definitely stay for another year!

Lately I have got into financial difficulties and decided to pick up Postmates as a second stream of income. I don’t own a vehicle anymore but living in LA we can deliver on bikes. So, I used the bike I saved up to get, for years! I wasn’t entirely sure at first, but it was necessary for me to use that bike. On my third day doing Postmates, my bike got stolen in matter of minutes. It was attached to a pole that the thieves were able to disconnect the top part of, easily stealing the locked bike. Stressed out, I wasn’t sure how long it would take Lemonade to process my claim as I needed my refund immediately to replace my stolen bike! Lemonade approved the claim and I was lucky enough to find a bike shop nearby to purchase a similar bike. I was happily shocked and amazed by how fast they refunded me and deposited the money in my account. Within MINUTES I was able to get back on my deliveries the very same day! I am happily insured with Lemonade and recommend it to everyone!!!
