Job Summary

We are looking to hire talented, creative, out-of-the-box and detail-oriented content writers to develop outstanding content for our website and digital platforms. You will collaborate with our editorial team to create in-depth content, blog posts and content for social media to engage our target audience, write and publish guest posts and press releases for our media relations department, and assist with marketing communication campaigns. You must know how to research various topics and industry trends and produce outstanding content on tight deadlines. Excellent grammar and writing skills are required for this position.

Content Writer Duties and Responsibilities

  • Brainstorm with the editorial team for new ideas and strategies for effective content
  • Research markets and industries to create content that is innovative, evergreen, interesting, value-adding and original
  • Develop copy on a wide variety of topics for multiple platforms (such as the website, other leading websites you're an author at, blogs, articles, and social media)
  • Create eye-catching and innovative headlines
  • Collaborate with campaign managers, creative team, and designers
  • Edit and update old content

Content Writer Requirements and Qualifications

  •  Must be a native U.S. English speaking, American writer
  • Must hold Bachelor's degree in English, journalism, communications, or a related field preferred.
  •  Must have 3+ years of professional writing experience, especially on top digital platforms
  • Must be familiar with SEO and keyword research
  • Insurance and/or financial writing experience - major plus!
  • Must have author accounts on several top digital platforms or online publications
  • Must have a portfolio of published work
  • Must have excellent grammar and writing skills
  • Must be creative and out-of-the-box writer
  • Must be able to multitask, prioritize and manage time efficiently
  • Must be self motivated and self managed
  • Self editing and vetting is a major plus
  • Must be familiar with Google Docs
