I was an alcoholic for many years and decided to quit, which is when Legal and General dropped me from my life insurance. They have this policy that does not allow insuring alcoholics that stopped drinking before they are sober for at least three years. Not so tolerant, even if understood.

Signing up was not as fast as claimed, but it's not a big deal. Didn't receive the quoted premium since my health info was slightly different than what I first thought. I am quite in shape despite my age (61 years old). My lifestyle is very active so I was surprised. But generally the experience was good.
